Ladies Captain’s Blog – Thursday Ladies League

It has been an interesting first few years for our league with the PHO restrictions and the high demand for tee times on our club.  We are pleased to say we were able to weather the storm well with the help of the Hp staff and the strong commitment and flexibility of our lady’s division members.

Our league offers our members the opportunity to play golf in a competitive format.  That is not to say we don’t have a lot of fun doing so.  Members must have a handicap, or at least be willing to establish a handicap, and have Highland Pacific as their “Home Course” on their Golf Canada membership. Pace of play is paramount and all scores are attested for league play.

We play by the rules and have a number of tournaments throughout our league year which runs from mid April to the first week in October.   We also have one fun charity event during the season.   This year our charity will be “Golf fore the Cure”.   Weekly draws are done on random basis so you never know who you will play with from week to the next which gives you an opportunity to get to know your other league member’s.  We are excited that with the lifting of the Covid restrictions we will be able to have a grand wind-up on our last day of play to celebrate the season and present awards.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS

We are a group of 36 and currently have a few openings.  If you would like to participate in this year’s league or have any questions about the league, please contact me directly via email to ladiescaptain@highlandpacificgolf.com.
